Fatoush salad

Fatoush salad also known as salad with Arabic bread or pita bread is a salad that contains cucumbers, Arabic bread, tomato, olives and mint. You'll love it!

  • 1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and julienned
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 arabic bread, large
  • 1/2 heads romaine lettuce
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 6 sprigs chives, chopped
  • 2/3 cups fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cups fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons peppermint, chopped
  • 1/3 cups olive oil
  • 1/4 cups lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • pepper, to taste
  • kalamata olives

  • Start by putting the cucumbers in a strainer with the tablespoon of salt, let them drain for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, bake the Arabic bread until lightly toasted, remove from the oven and cut into strips or chunks.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, chives, parsley, coriander and mint.
  • In another bowl with a balloon whisk mix the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Add the dressing to the salad, mix well, and add the Arabic bread. Mix again and serve.
