Hawaiian Pasta Salad

  • 2 liters water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup short pasta
  • 2 cups canned pineapple, cut into small cubes
  • 2 cups turkey deli ham, cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 cups red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup celery, cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup carrot, cut into thin strips
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper
  • fresh cilantro, for garnish

  • For the pasta, in a pot heat the water until it reaches boiling point, add the salt and then the pasta to cook it al dente, according to the package instructions. Remove from heat, drain, cool and set aside.
  • In a bowl mix the pasta with the pineapple, ham, onion, celery, carrot, add the mustard, cream, mayonnaise, season with salt and pepper to taste. Gently mix until all the ingredients are creamy. Serve with cilantro leaves and enjoy.
