Purple cabbage, walnut and apple salad

This rich purple cabbage salad is made with apple and walnut. It is a very original recipe for Christmas.

  • 1 red cabbage, chopped
  • 25 grams butter
  • 1 apple, cut into slices
  • 3 cloves
  • 100 milliliters cider vinegar
  • 25 grams brown sugar
  • 1 cup walnuts, toast

  • In a large skillet melt the butter and cook the cabbage, the apple and the cloves until the cabbage begins to soften.
  • Add the vinegar and mix until the vinegar has evaporated.
  • Add the sugar and mix. Add the walnut and remove the heat.
