French Lettuce and Artichoke Gratin

If you want to try a different and original side dish, prepare this French lettuce and artichoke gratin that will be a revelation for you and your family. It is perfect to accompany a good cut of meat.

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 onions, in strips
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 butterhead lettuce, Eva® chopped
  • 7 artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups Manchego cheese

  • Preheat the oven to 200° C.
  • In a deep skillet, melt the butter with the oil and cook the onion until it is translucent.
  • Add the garlic and cook for one minute, making sure it doesn't burn.
  • Add the lettuce and cook for 5 minutes until all the water evaporates. Add the artichoke hearts and cook for two more minutes.
  • Incorporate the heavy cream and season. Place the mixture in a baking dish and cover with cheese.
  • Gratin in the oven for 5 minutes and serve immediately.
