Tuna Salad with Spinach

This recipe is so practical for those moments when you don't have much time to cook, plus it is filling, tasty, colorful, and very appealing to little ones. You can give it the variations you like to present it; you can also serve it on toast, in a sandwich, or on lettuce leaves for those days of strict dieting.

  • 2 cans tuna
  • 2 bunches spinach
  • 2 tomatillos
  • 2 serrano chiles
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 100 grams panela cheese
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 lemons, juice
  • salt , to taste
  • saltine crackers

  • Drain the tuna perfectly.
  • Chop the spinach, tomatoes, serrano pepper, avocado, and cheese into medium cubes.
  • Incorporate the chopped ingredients into the tuna.
  • Mix the sesame seeds with the olive oil and lemon juice, blend them together, and add them to the salad, mixing all the ingredients. Check the seasoning and if necessary, add salt to taste; remember that if you accompany it with crackers, it is likely that you won’t need it.
  • Finally, serve accompanied by crackers.
