Apple Chutney

Chutney is a jam used in Indian cuisine. The jam takes a delicious touch when combined with chili and ginger.

  • 2 red apples
  • 2 green apples
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoons red chili flake
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, chopped
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

  • Peel and cut the apples into cubes.
  • In a large pot mix all the ingredients including the apple.
  • Place over medium heat and cook for about 1 hour or until the apple is tender and the juices are thick. Get out of the fire.
