Forest Fruit Compote

The forest fruit compote is a perfect dessert to eat with a toasted bread and a little butter. It is a very tasty preparation that feels just right in the morning as breakfast. It is a recipe high in antioxidants and vitamin C.

  • 1 cup orange juice, fresh
  • 1 cup sugar, granulated
  • 750 grams strawberries, stemless, halved
  • 300 grams blackberries
  • 200 grams blueberries
  • 300 grams raspberries
  • 4 teaspoons lime juice, fresh
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt

  • In a large pot over medium heat, pour the orange juice, add the sugar and mix until dissolved.
  • Add the fruit in this order: strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
  • Add the lemon juice and salt; mix and remove from heat. Fill with the fruit leaving a space of 2.5 cm and seal.
  • Follow the sterilization instructions for your Olla de Presión Express® for jars and lids before and after filling.
  • If desired, you can serve with vanilla ice cream.
