Mango Sauce

Spicy Mango Sauce recipe that can be added to any seafood dish or a fresh cucumber salad.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoons ginger powder
  • 2 cups mango, diced
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 60 grams raisins
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon piquín chile
  • 1/2 cups water

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the onion, garlic, and cook until they are translucent.
  • Add the diced mango, vinegar, sugar, and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add the raisins, season with chili powder, ginger, and finally add the water.
  • Increase the heat, stir constantly, and adjust seasoning with water and salt.
  • Leave on heat until the mango breaks down and thickens a bit. Serve in a sauceboat.
