Mango Sauce

Picosita mango sauce recipe that can be added to some seafood fish dish or a fresh cucumber salad.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoons ginger powder
  • 2 cups mango, in cubes
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 60 grams raisins
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon piquín chile
  • 1/2 cups water

  • In a saucepan melt the butter, add the onion, garlic and let cook until they are crisp.
  • Add the mango in cubes, the vinegar, the sugar and let cook until the sugar dissolves perfectly.
  • Add the raisins, season with chili powder, ginger and finally add the water.
  • Raise the flame, mix constantly and rectify seasoning with water and salt.
  • Leave on heat until the mango is broken and thicken a little. Serve in a sauceboat.
