Red Wine Sauce

This red wine sauce is a true delight and can be added to your favorite meat dishes.

  • 1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
  • 2 cups dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cups chicken broth, without salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the butter along with the onion until golden brown, about 6 minutes.
  • Add the red wine, rosemary, and honey until it boils and reduces by about two-thirds, for 10 minutes.
  • Finally, add the chicken broth and let it boil until reduced for another minute.
  • Add the butter, salt, and pepper
