Salsa Macha de Chile Morita

This Salsa Macha has a smoky and spicy touch with slightly sweet notes to incorporate all the flavors. It is excellent for pairing with snacks like wings, pork ribs, or tempura vegetables.

  • 3 cups canola oil
  • 2 garlic
  • 2 cups morita chile, without stem
  • 1/2 cups peanuts
  • 1/2 cups pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cups sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cups cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons sea ​​salt
  • 2 jars McCormick® mayonnaise, Rayados del Monterrey, empty and clean, 190 g capacity

  • Heat oil in a small pot over medium heat, add garlic and cook for 5 minutes until soft. Add the morita chiles and cook for only 20 seconds, then remove everything from the oil. Now cook the peanuts, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds in that order in the same oil. Allow about 2 minutes for each addition so that all the seeds are perfectly browned. Once you add the sesame seeds, turn off the heat and let cool with the seeds inside.
  • Once the oil is cool, strain the seeds and set aside.
  • Blend the chiles with the garlic, blueberries, sea salt, and chili oil.
