Chile Mango

Chile mango is an ideal recipe to accompany grilled or oven-roasted meat or fish. It is delicious and adds exquisite flavor to all your dishes.

  • 7 mangoes
  • 1/2 cups lard
  • 6 guajillo chiles
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt, to taste
  • guajillo chiles, in slices for decoration

  • Slice the mangos with the skin on and brown in lard.
  • Roast the guajillo chiles on a griddle, remove the seeds, and soften in 1 1/2 cups of hot water. Blend the chiles with garlic and salt to taste.
  • Add the sauce to the fried mangos, season, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Garnish with the slices of guajillo chile. Serve.
