3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup orange juice
1 clove garlic, small
1/8 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 sticks cinnamon
4 cloves
1/4 teaspoons black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying
salt, as needed
1/2 sticks achiote

Toast the spices. The cumin, oregano, cinnamon, cloves, pepper, and garlic. Use a comal.
After they are well toasted, grind all the spices, preferably in a mortar.
Dissolve the achiote with the orange juice and add the 3 tablespoons of oil.
Stir the spices with the achiote and heat until it comes to a boil.
Use this marinade for any meat, preferably pork, and let it marinate overnight.
