Mexican Green Sauce

This is the best recipe for Mexican green sauce; serve this sauce with tortilla chips, in quesadillas or for your tacos, you'll love it.

  • 500 grams tomatillo
  • 5 serrano chiles
  • 60 grams onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 50 grams fresh cilantro, chopped

  • On a griddle, roast the garlic, onion, and chili until they have black spots. Remove from the griddle.
  • Roast the tomatoes on the griddle until they are charred and feel soft.
  • Place the tomatoes in a plastic bag and let them sweat for 15 minutes.
  • In a molcajete, grind the onion, garlic, chili, and salt. Add the tomatoes and finish grinding.
  • Add the cilantro and season with salt.
