Pasilla Chile Sauce

The pasilla chile sauce has a sweeter tone than other chile sauces. Use this sauce to accompany fish, seafood, or tacos.

  • Start by cleaning and deveining the chiles.
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chiles, garlic, and onion for 8 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  • Add the tomatoes, water, and spices, and let the chiles boil for 10 minutes.
  • Blend the sauce and serve.
