Pasilla chile sauce has a sweeter tone than other chili sauces. Use this sauce to accompany a fish, seafood or tacos.

Ingredients

5 portions
  • 6 pasilla chili peppers
  • 100 grams tomtato, chopped red
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 onions, chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1/4 tablespoons black pepper

Preparation

Start by cleaning and deveining the chiles.
In a hot pan, olive oil over medium heat and brown the peppers, garlic and onion for 8 minutes. Moving constantly to prevent them from burning.
Add the tomatoes, water and spices and allow the chiles to boil for 10 minutes.
Blend the sauce and serve.

TIPS

When the peppers are deveined, use gloves so that they do not irritate your hands and later your face.
