Place the tomatoes in a skillet. After 5-10 minutes, add the garlic cloves, chiles, and the onion (cut in half). Let them cook until done.
When everything is cooked, add the beer and cilantro, and cook over low heat until the beer has completely reduced. Season with salt and pepper.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. In a molcajete, make the salsa. Remember to scrape well with the edges of the molcajete to get the flavor from the stone.
