Tamarind Sauce

This recipe for making a spicy tamarind sauce can be added to some caught shrimp or even chicken.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 red onions, spicy
  • 2 cups tamarind pulp
  • 1 chipotle chile
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

  • Heat a little oil, add garlic, onion, and the tamarind pulp.
  • Let the pulp soften.
  • Lower the heat, let it reduce, add the Adobo Chipotle Pepper, a pinch of salt, pepper, and sugar.
  • Transfer to your blender, mix well, and let it thicken.
