  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, for the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups cherry tomato
  • 1 cup tomato purée
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • basil
  • pasta, cooked, to serve
  • Parmesan cheese, to serve

  • Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic and onion, and cook for 2 minutes. Incorporate the cherry tomatoes and cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Add the tomato puree, salt, pepper, and oregano. Cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Blend until obtaining a smooth sauce. Pour the sauce into another pan with olive oil and add the basil leaves. Cook for 10 more minutes.
  • Serve the tomato sauce over the pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
