The traditional mayonnaise recipe. Go ahead and prepare it; it’s easier to make than you think, and you’ll have delicious homemade mayonnaise.

2 eggs
2 tablespoons vinegar, or lemon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 3/4 cups vegetable oil

Put the eggs in the blender or food processor and beat until they turn white.
Add the vinegar, salt, mustard, and beat for a few more seconds.
Slowly add half of the oil until it thickens. Stop the blender and stir the mixture with a spoon.
Turn the blender on again and add the rest of the oil.
It should yield about 2 1/2 cups of mayonnaise.
