  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cups soy sauce
  • 1/2 cups raw sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • Mix orange juice with soy sauce in a saucepan over medium heat for two minutes.
  • Add ginger and brown sugar, stir for 1 minute until the sugar granules dissolve.
  • Add white vinegar and stir for another minute.
  • Dissolve cornstarch in a little water until there are no lumps, pour into the saucepan to thicken the sauce to taste.
  • If the Teriyaki sauce will be used immediately, give it the desired thickness; if it will be stored or refrigerated, leave it a bit runny so that it can reach the desired thickness when cooking.
  • Grill chicken breasts with salt and pepper and pour this sauce onto a plate for presentation, serve with white rice and salad.
