Bechamel Sauce

White sauce for lasagna that is very delicious and can be used for various types of lasagna. It is easy to make and use; I hope you enjoy it. I prepare it for mushroom lasagna.

  • 3 cups cow's milk
  • 1 leaf bay
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorn
  • 1 slice onion
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • salt
  • nutmegs

  • In a pot, bring the milk to a boil. Remove from heat and add the bay leaf, pepper, and onion.
  • Let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then it should be strained so that only the milk remains.
  • In a pot, melt the butter and add the flour, cooking for about two minutes. Add the milk and return to low heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Boil for three minutes and remove from heat. Add salt and nutmeg.
