Toast the walnuts in a pan, being careful not to burn them, until they start to smell.
Soak the bread in the milk.
Put the walnuts, soaked bread, garlic, and parmesan cheese in a blender. Blend until a creamy sauce forms. Add olive oil, salt, and pepper and blend again. Set aside.
Add a little milk to the sauce if it is too thick.
