Place a pot of water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Meanwhile, cut the ends off the asparagus. Add them to the pot and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the asparagus is tender.
In a bowl, mix the maple syrup with the Dijon mustard. Serve the asparagus and pour the maple mustard mixture over them.
