Cauliflower Pancakes with Cheese and Ham

A delicious way to make your children eat vegetables and help you at home is practical and very economical.

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 1 Oaxaca cheese, or panela
  • 1 turkey deli ham
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch baking soda
  • salt
  • vegetable oil, for frying

  • Cut the cauliflower; you can ask your children to break it into florets while you boil enough water with salt and baking soda. Once done, wash it well and disinfect it for 10 minutes;
  • Meanwhile, beat the egg until stiff peaks form and cut the ham into small cubes. Ask your children to shred the cheese.
  • After 10 minutes, cook the cauliflower in the salted water and wait until it is tender; remember not to cook it for too long as it breaks apart quickly, and you still need to fry it.
  • Once done, make a paste with the cooked cauliflower; mix it with ham and cheese; you can form balls or shape them into fingers.
  • Place them in the beaten egg and fry; place them on an absorbent napkin once fried, and you can serve them with a salad that your children can help prepare; and with a letter soup. Enjoy!
