Chili Beans w/Turkey (Chili con Frijoles y Pavo)

Easy recipe that can be served at all kinds of events, family parties, or at home as a snack or complete dish.

  • 1 pound ground duck meat
  • 1 can pinto bean
  • 1 can tomato, chopped
  • 2 red bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, medium chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons piquín chile
  • 1 Jalapeño chile, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 6 ounces cheddar cheese, grated

  • In a medium pot, heat the oil and cook the ground meat well.
  • When the meat is well cooked, add the bell peppers, onion, carrots, tomatoes, jalapeño and cumin. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Add the beans (including the liquid), chili powder, and a tablespoon of salt. Add a cup of water if necessary and let it boil for 5 minutes.
  • Serve it in a bowl, placing the grated cheese on top as decoration. It can be accompanied with tortilla chips (Nachos Style)
