Curly Potatoes

  • 5 potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cups whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • lime, for garnish

  • Place the potatoes in a pot with enough water; once it starts to boil, cook for 25 minutes or until they are soft enough. Remove from heat, drain, and place in a bowl. Mash the potatoes with a masher or glass until you have a puree.
  • Once you have the potato puree, add the melted butter, whipping cream, pepper, salt, garlic powder, oregano, breadcrumbs, cornstarch, baking powder, and egg. Mix until you have a manageable dough. Place in a piping bag and make an opening at the front.
  • On a baking sheet with parchment paper, form spirals with the potato puree mixture. Fry in the T-Fal Easy Fry at 180°C for 15 minutes.
  • Serve with chopped parsley and lemon.
