  • water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups chorizo
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 cup panela cheese, cut into cubes

  • With the help of a knife, cut the nopales into strips and cook them in a pot over medium heat with water and baking soda for 10 minutes. Remove and strain.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat, cook the chorizo until it releases its fat and browns slightly, add the onion, nopales, season with oregano, salt, and pepper to taste, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Serve your nopales accompanied by panela cheese, fresh oregano, avocado, form a taco, and serve with salsa.
