1 cup white rice, for the broth
1 cup tomato
1/4 onions, in quarters
2 cloves garlic, for blending
1 serrano chile, clean
salt
pepper
1 1/2 cups vegetable broth
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cups yellow corn kernels
1/4 cups peas
1/4 cups carrot, precooked, in small cubes

Wash the rice carefully to avoid breaking the grain and to remove excess starch.
Sauté the rice with a little oil until it is lightly golden.
Blend the tomato, garlic, onion, salt and pepper, vegetable broth, and green chili.
Add the tomato mixture to the rice by passing it through a strainer.
Add a small cube of butter to enhance the flavor and texture, add yellow corn kernels, peas, and the precooked carrot.
Cook until it comes to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low, and let cook for about 25 minutes.
