Draniki is the typical dish of Belarus, made from potatoes. They are usually served topped with sour cream and accompanied by quail eggs. You can serve them with mushroom sauce, although they are also delicious with sour cream.

6 potatoes, peeled and washed
1 tablespoon flour
1 egg
1 glass semi-skimmed milk
vegetable oil
salt and pepper
sour cream, to accompany
salsa, of mushrooms, to accompany

Grate the potatoes, and dry them with paper towels or a clean cloth.
Place them in a bowl, add the flour and mix slowly trying not to form lumps.
Add the egg, the milk and mix well. Add salt and pepper.
Heat the oil in a pan and add two to three tablespoons of the mixture, making small pancakes. Cook on both sides and check that they are cooked.
Serve immediately, topped with sour cream or mushroom sauce.
