Green beans are a delicious side dish for meats or fish. This way of preparing them is very simple and tasty.

1 kilo green beans
1 onion, large finely chopped
3 tomatoes, chopped
4 teaspoons oregano, fresh chopped (or 2 teaspoons of dried)
1/4 cups olive oil

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Bring water to a boil in a large pot (about 3/4 full).
Cook the green beans in salted water until they are bright green and tender, about 1-2 minutes. (The time depends on the size of the green beans)
Drain the green beans and immerse them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and set aside.
Mix the onion and tomatoes in a bowl.
Add the green beans, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Drizzle with olive oil and mix.
Place the prepared green beans on a platter and serve.
