Ham Potato Gratin

Now that Christmas is approaching, this ham potato gratin recipe is the best option for the holiday dinner, as it is a quick and economical dish.

  • 6 potatoes, peeled
  • water, to cook the potatoes
  • salt, to cook the potatoes
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups Manchego cheese, grated
  • 1 cup deli ham, in medium cubes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon thyme, ground
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 cup butter, for the spice butter
  • rosemary, for the spice butter
  • thyme, for the spice butter
  • garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 baguette

  • Cut the potatoes and cook them in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  • Mix the sour cream, butter, half of the Manchego cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and thyme in a bowl.
  • In a baking dish, add a layer of potatoes, a layer of ham, and cover with the cream. Repeat until the baking dish is full. Then cover with cheese and let it gratin for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the ham potato gratin from the oven and serve on a board.
  • Mix the butter with oregano, thyme, rosemary, and garlic. Spread on the slices of bread and place on a grill, heating for 5 minutes.
