Mushroom and Potato Gratin

  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon thyme

  • Peel and slice the potato into thin rounds.
  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
  • In a small pot, heat the milk with the garlic cloves, nutmeg, and thyme until it boils. Remove from heat.
  • Grease a Pyrex dish and layer the potatoes and mushrooms. Cover with 1/3 of the milk and 1/3 of the cheese, then repeat with another layer of potatoes and mushrooms, continuing until all the potatoes and mushrooms are used.
  • Bake for 50 minutes or until well cooked and the cheese is golden brown.
