Alfredo Potatoes

The flavor of these potatoes in Alfredo sauce is guaranteed; the combination of bacon with the creaminess of the white sauce is exceptional, making them an ideal side dish for any meal.

  • 4 potatoes, peeled and in medium cubes
  • 1/4 cups bacon, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3/4 cups Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper, for garnish
  • parsley, chopped, for garnish

  • Cook the potatoes in a small pot with boiling water and salt until soft. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until golden. Add the previously cooked potatoes and cook for a couple of minutes. Set aside.
  • For the Alfredo sauce, in a small pot, add the butter and cook the onion with the garlic, incorporating the flour at once and stirring until a golden paste forms.
  • Add the milk and cook until slightly thickened. Add the cheeses, let them melt, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  • Mix the potatoes with the hot sauce, serve immediately, and garnish with parsley.
