Au-Gratin Potatoes

Au-gratin potatoes with cream and Parmesan, a delicious recipe because it has the creamy touch of the cream, the crunch of the potatoes, and the salty hint of the Parmesan cheese that makes them unique. They are perfect to accompany main dishes or to eat on their own.

  • 6 potatoes, medium peeled
  • 1 chicken broth, cube
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 250 grams whipping cream
  • 6 tablespoons Parmesan cheese powder
  • 2 grams salt
  • 2 grams pepper

  • Preheat the oven to 350° C
  • Cook the potatoes in water with the broth cube until soft. Remove and drain the water. Cut into slices.
  • Grease a medium baking dish with margarine and 1/2 teaspoon of mashed garlic, the bottom and sides of the dish.
  • Mix the melted margarine with the remaining garlic and set aside.
  • Season the cream with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place a layer of potatoes in the dish, a bit of margarine, and cream. Continue this way until finishing with a layer of cream.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and bake until the cheese is golden.
