Surprise your guests with this baked potato snack; they are a delight and very easy to prepare with ingredients you have at home.

16 new potatoes, cooked and drained
16 slices smoked bacon
1/2 cups corn oil
1 pinch salt, and pepper

Heat the oil over high heat in a small saucepan.
Dry the potatoes thoroughly with paper towels and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Wrap each one with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick to prevent the bacon from falling off.
Fry in hot oil until the bacon is crispy.
Remove excess fat with paper towels.
