Beer-Battered Potatoes

Delicious beer-battered potato side dish, perfect for pairing with juicy meat.

  • 4 potatoes, large
  • 2 cups lager beer
  • 125 grams turkey deli ham, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • salt, and pepper to taste

  • Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes thinly, and cut the ham into medium pieces.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet and fry the garlic. The oil should be very hot.
  • Add the ham, cook for 1 minute, and remove from heat.
  • Fry the potatoes in the same oil and cook over low heat for 4 minutes or until slightly golden.
  • Add the beer and let it reduce for 10 minutes over high heat.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and serve hot.
