  • 2 liters water
  • 4 potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups deli ham, cut into medium cubes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped, for serving

  • For the mash, heat a small pot over medium heat with the water, cook the potatoes with a little salt until very soft, drain and set aside.
  • Heat a small pot over medium heat with the milk, add the butter and the cooked potato, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Using a potato masher, mash the potato to make the purée, cook until the milk reduces and you obtain a smooth purée.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese, the ham, and mix, serve the mash and garnish with parsley.
