Prepare this simple recipe of Mashed Potatoes with Ham. This dish is perfect to use as a garnish and to accompany your main courses. The touch of Parmesan cheese gives it a very rich flavor, but you can also use Manchego cheese. Ingredients

4 portions
  • 2 liters Water
  • 4 potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups Ham, cut into medium cubes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped, to serve

Preparation

For the puree, heat a pot with water over medium heat, cook the potatoes with a little salt until they are very soft, strain and reserve.
Heat a pot over medium heat with the milk, add butter and cooked potatoes, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. With a potato masher crush the potatoes to form the mashed potatoes, cook until the milk is reduced and obtain a smooth puree.
Add the Parmesan cheese, ham and mix, serve the mashed potatoes and decorate with parsley.

PRESENTATION

Serve on a platter to share.

TIPS

You can pass the potatoes through a sieve so that your mashed potatoes are very smooth.
