A simple and easy way to make mashed potatoes when your stove is occupied, or you've run out of gas and don't have instant mashed potatoes, mashed potatoes are always appreciated, whether as a side dish or as a main dish while watching a movie.
Wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel them, and cut them into small pieces. Place them in a plastic bag (or wrap them individually in self-adhesive plastic) and put them in the microwave on high for 10 minutes.
Take the potatoes out of the bag, place them in a deep bowl, and add the butter. Mash the potatoes with a fork or a potato masher, add the milk, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
