Wash and slice the cabbage thinly. Peel and slice the apple.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan, add the cabbage and apple, stirring constantly. Add the flour and season with salt, pepper, bay leaf, juniper berries, and clove.
Cook this way for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the wine, 3/4 cup of water and stir until everything is well mixed, cook uncovered for 10 more minutes.
