Rice with Caramelized Onion

  • 2 cups rice, cooked
  • 3 onions, large
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cups white wine
  • salt
  • pepper

  • Cook the rice and season it with salt and a pinch of pepper.
  • Slice the onion into thin slices.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet and add the onion.
  • Sauté the onion, add the sugar, and cook over low heat.
  • Add 1/3 cup of white wine and cook until it evaporates. Repeat the procedure.
  • Serve the rice and top it with the caramelized onion.
