Catalan Rice

This recipe is for simple rice but extremely delicious, it's sure to please everyone. Cook, show off, and win everyone over with this Catalan rice.

  • 500 grams precooked rice
  • 250 grams peas, or peas
  • 1 cup longaniza
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 eggs , hard
  • 2 scallions
  • salt
  • 90 grams margarine

  • Fry some finely chopped garlic in a bit of oil, and once it's golden, add the finely chopped green onions. Then add the peas, cook for 5 more minutes, and add the sausage.
  • Once the sausage is golden, add the rice, salt, water, and a tablespoon of margarine. Cover and let it cook on low heat for about 20 minutes or until the water has been absorbed.
  • To serve, slice the egg and place it on top of the rice.
