Mexican Rice Express

Prepare a delicious Mexican rice in minutes. You don't have to be an expert like your grandmothers; we promise it will turn out perfect and full of flavor.

  • 1 envelope Knorr® instant mexican rice
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons Primavera® Chantilly Margarine
  • 1 nopal, in thin strips and soaked
  • 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
  • 1 árbol chile, without stem and chopped
  • 1 pinch coarse salt

  • Melt the margarine and sauté the onion.
  • Add the árbol chili.
  • Pour in the water and oil, and empty the contents of the Knorr® Mexican Rice packet.
  • Mix everything and bring to a boil over high heat. Lower the flame and cover.
  • Cook for 10 minutes or until the water is completely absorbed.
  • Add and mix in the nopales (previously soaked with coarse salt and rinsed with cold water).
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes and serve.
