My Red Rice with Turkey Bacon

Add a delicious touch to your rice with this recipe for red rice with turkey bacon. You will surprise your whole family.

  • 1 envelope Knorr® Mi Arroz® red
  • 1 1/2 cups long grain rice, raw
  • 1 cup panela cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 slices bacon, chopped and fried
  • 3 1/2 cups water

  • Wash the rice until the water is clear, drain well. Heat oil in a medium pot over medium heat and fry the rice, stirring gently to avoid breaking it. It should take on a slightly golden color (very light) and the grains will separate from each other. Remove excess oil if necessary.
  • Pour in the water and let it come to a boil, then empty the contents of the Knorr® MiArroz® Rojo packet.
  • Let it come to a boil and reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
  • Cover and let cook for 20 minutes until the water is completely reduced.
