  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

  • Place the rice in a colander and wash it directly under running water. Let it drain and then dry it with a cloth.
  • In a pot, add the oil; once it is hot, add the oil and the rice. Allow it to fry and stir.
  • Add the water and salt; the heat should be high. Allow the preparation to boil for no more than 5 minutes. When you see that the rice is drying (bubbles no longer appear on the surface), reduce the heat to the minimum and cover.
  • Let it cook for 15 more minutes; taste the grain, if it is still hard, continue cooking for 5 more minutes. If it is ready, remove the pot from the pan.
