3 cups sweet rice, soaked in water or coconut milk for 1 night
2 cups coconut milk
3/4 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Cook the rice in a steamer until it is soft.
Meanwhile, put the coconut milk in a large pot over medium heat until it is warm (do not bring to a boil). Add the sugar and salt and stir until completely dissolved.
When the rice is ready, remove it from the pot and place it in a bowl. Pour 1 cup of warm coconut milk over it. Reserve the rest of the coconut milk. Mix and stir the liquid and rice and let it sit for 20 minutes to 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Peel and slice the mangoes into strips.
To serve, place some rice on each plate and serve with half a mango on the side. Garnish with a sprig of mint. Also serve the remaining coconut sauce on a small plate for everyone to help themselves if they wish.
