Seasoned Couscous

Delicious red couscous to step away from the traditional white, as it contains blended tomatoes, mint, parsley, and dill that give it a different flavor. Ideal to accompany all types of meats.

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 red tomato
  • 1/4 dill, clean with tail
  • 3 sprigs parsley , clean
  • 10 leaves peppermint
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups couscous, natural

  • Put all the ingredients in a pot except for the couscous to boil. Let it cook for approximately 15 minutes.
  • Blend everything we cooked, being careful not to burn ourselves as it is very hot. The mixture should be well ground without lumps.
  • Place the 3 cups of couscous in a bowl and add the blended mixture. Mix well with a fork, using gentle movements to avoid beating the couscous.
  • Let it rest covered for 5 minutes, and with the help of a fork, fluff the couscous, separating the grains.
