Spanish Tortilla

With this recipe, you can prepare the traditional Spanish tortilla with potatoes. This recipe will save you in a pinch if you have unexpected guests because it is very simple and doesn't require many ingredients.

  • 5 potatoes, medium
  • 1/2 cups olive oil
  • 1/2 onions, cut into strips
  • 5 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper

  • Cut the onion into small strips, peel the potatoes into thin wedges.
  • Put the oil in a pot and add the onion.
  • Stir the onion so it doesn't stick and wait until it is tender.
  • Remove the onion from the pot and place it on a separate plate.
  • With the leftover olive oil from the onions, heat the potatoes and add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Beat the 5 eggs in a bowl, and when the potatoes are soft (breaking easily), add the egg.
  • Wait a few minutes until the egg is cooked on one side, then use a pan to flip the pot and transfer the Spanish tortilla to the skillet.
  • Wait until it is cooked on the other side and serve!
