Spinach and Cheese Strudel

Delicious spinach and cheese strudel recipe; this dish is different and very tasty, try it and you'll see that everyone will love it!

  • 1 kilo puff pastry
  • 1 kilo La Huerta® spinach
  • 3/4 cups cottage cheese
  • 250 grams Manchego cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 100 grams bacon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 100 grams onion
  • 1 egg

  • Chop the onion and bacon.
  • In a skillet, brown the bacon; once ready, add the onion until golden.
  • Add the La Huerta spinach to the skillet, season with salt and pepper to taste, cook for approximately 3 minutes and set aside.
  • Roll out the puff pastry to form two squares of approximately 30 cm.
  • Place the mixture of spinach with onion and bacon on the puff pastry.
  • Add the cottage cheese and manchego cheese on top.
  • With a knife, make slanted strips on the edges of the puff pastry to braid it.
  • Braid the puff pastry by placing one strip over another from side to side.
  • Brush the strudel with the egg.
  • Place in the oven at 200ºC for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve with chipotle cream.
