Stuffed Gratinated Chiles and Mustard Sauce

  • 1/4 cups flour
  • 250 grams puff pastry
  • 1 can Jalapeño peppers stuffed with black beans in La Morena® tomato sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for the sauce
  • 1/4 onions, finely chopped for the sauce
  • 1 cup whipping cream, for the sauce
  • 3 tablespoons mustard, for the sauce
  • 1 pinch pepper, white, for the sauce
  • 2 pinches salt, for the sauce

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Roll out the puff pastry with a rolling pin on a floured surface until it is ½ cm thick and cut into 5 x 5 cm squares.
  • Open the can of La Morena® Jalapeño Peppers Stuffed with Black Beans in Tomato Sauce, using a brush, place a bit of tomato sauce on each square, place a chile on top, and close two corners of the squares. Brush with egg and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
  • Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat, add the onion and sauté for 2 minutes. Incorporate the cream and mustard, mix well and cook for 5 minutes; season. Set aside.
  • Serve the chiles on a flat plate and accompany with the mustard sauce.
